Banyuwangi, March 3, 2022 - PT Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT) as a subholding of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) continues to expand its service range by officially starting port operations at Tanjung Wangi Port, Banyuwangi, Bagendang Port, East Kotawaringin, and Bumiharjo Port, West Kotawaringin, starting March 2022.
This was marked by the holding of the Go Live Operational Joint Prayer simultaneously at these three ports on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 which was attended by the President Commissioner of PT Pelindo Multi Terminal Darwanto & SPMT Independent Commissioner Ahmad Perwira Mulia Tarigan accompanied by the Director of HR of SPMT Ady Sutrisno, and SPMT Technical Director Prakosa Adi Takariyanto, and followed online by the Board of Commissioners, SPMT Board of Directors, and Regional Head 3 PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero). In his remarks, the President Commissioner of PT Pelindo Multi Terminal Darwanto said that the joining of the Ports of Tanjung Wangi, Bagendang, and Bumiharjo would further strengthen SPMT in achieving its performance target in 2022, with the great potential of these three ports as economic gateways in East Java and Kalimantan. President Director of PT Pelindo Multi Terminal, Drajat Sulistyo, said SPMT will operate 22 Non-Container Terminals spread across a number of regions in Indonesia. This activity was coupled with the welcoming of the inaugural ship at Tanjung Wangi Port, Banyuwangi which was held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, namely MT Berkat Selatan, by giving souvenirs by SVP of Operations Management of SPMT I Wayan Wirawan and Branch Manager of SPMT Tanjung Wangi Pitria Kartikasari to Capt. Achmad Effendi from PT Djakarta Lloyd (Persero) as the service user. MT Berkat Selatan is an Indonesian-flagged tanker that loads a total of 400 metric tons of fuel at Tanjung Wangi Port.
On Tuesday, March 1, 2022, SPMT also welcomed the first ships at the Port of Bagendang and Bumiharjo, with each ship being KM Barito Mas V14 which carried out loading and unloading of containers at the Port of Bagendang, and TK Trust Line 909, a dry bulk ship that carried out loading and unloading. kernel at Bumiharjo Harbor.
The commencement of the operation of the Tanjung Wangi, Bagendang, and Bumiharjo ports by SPMT is a continuation of the signing of the agreement to hand over the business operations of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) with SPMT on December 29, 2021, and the handover of operations for the Ports of Dumai, Belawan, and Tanjung Intan.
