The transfer of equipment from one terminal to another is one of the steps taken by SPTP.

The transfer of equipment is expected to be able to support the loading and unloading performance of the container terminal in a terminal that has quite high growth. In addition, asset optimization is a way for the Company to be able to plan investment needs according to needs so that they are maximized.
"The transfer of equipment is also an effort to utilize loading and unloading equipment, which of course is aligned with the infrastructure and trends in ship size and container flows that continue to increase," he said, Tuesday (17/05).
Widyaswendra said the transfer of loading and unloading equipment that currently underway includes 2 units of Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane/RTG (container loading and unloading equipment at the stacking yard) from TPK Makassar New Port (MNP), Makassar to PT Kaltim Kariangau Terminal.
