Jakarta, March 7, 2023 - In the interest of the community, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo is ready to follow up on the direction of the Ministry of BUMN regarding the plan to move the location or relocate the Plumpang Oil Fuel Terminal (TBBM) belonging to PT Pertamina (Persero) to the Port area.
"We offer our deepest condolences and pray for the people who were victims of the fire that hit the Plumpang TBBM area," said Pelindo Corporate Secretariat Group Head, Ali Mulyono.
After the TBBM Plumpang fire, Pelindo has dispatched an emergency response team to meet the initial needs of residents affected by the incident. Apart from assisting the evacuation efforts on the first day, Pelindo Peduli's emergency response team also distributed emergency assistance in the form of food, medicine, blankets, tarpaulins and various needs of affected residents who are currently in evacuation posts.
Regarding the discourse on transferring TBBM to the port area, currently, Pelindo is carrying out further development in the area at the NewPriok terminal, where there is an area designated as a Product Terminal. This area can be considered as a new location for TBBM. The land as intended will be ready in 2024.
"The Product Terminal location that we are preparing will be located right on the waterfront, so that it will facilitate the loading and unloading of oil and gas from ships to the terminal and vice versa," explained Ali.
In addition, the Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road (JTCC) and NewPriok Eastern Access (NPEA) will add to the ease of direct access from NewPriok to industrial areas in Cibitung and Cikarang.
"In principle, Pelindo is ready to follow the Government's directives and is open to the option of moving to the port. Going forward, we will wait for further talks between Pertamina and Pelindo," concluded Ali.
