SPJM Continues to Optimize Services to Face "Peak Season"

Makassar, 6 April 2023 - Subholding of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM) is optimizing services for the "Peak Season" of Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah/2023.  The Corporate Secretary of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim, Tubagus Patrick Tribudi Utama Iskandar, said that the company has and continues to strive for the best service for service users in the month of Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr in 2023.

"The company has optimized its services by preparing facilities and crews that are ready to provide ship services and other services during peak season conditions or crowded passengers and goods ahead of the holidays," said Patrick.  He said, to optimize service to consumers, the SPJM increased coordination and conducted inspections at least a week before peak service density occurred at the port.  In preparing pilot and tug boat services for ships that will arrive or depart, he continued, there are two operators which are subsidiaries of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim who are ready to serve in the field.

"The two pilot and tug service company operators are PT Pelindo Marine Service and PT Jasa Armada Indonesia, Tbk," said Patrick.

According to him, from the coordination that has been carried out with related divisions, both ship and crew facilities have been physically checked to anticipate matters that could hinder service optimization. This is considered important to ensure the physical condition of the ship, including the equipment used, must be prepared well in advance.

Currently there are several records for service improvement in terms of ship facilities and equipment, as well as the crew on duty.  "Including preparing a replacement crew, if at any time the crew on duty encounter obstacles," said Patrick.
