Jakarta, 17 April 2023 - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo Group has again facilitated free homecoming for thousands of travelers to various cities in Java and Sumatra. Today, the Main Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), Arif Suhartono, sent off the departure of thousands of travelers who wanted to have a holiday in their hometown, using buses. They were released from the ex JICT II field area, Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta.
Specifically from Jakarta, as many as 2,650 travelers today leave for various cities, including Semarang, Purwokerto, Yogyakarta, Solo, Malang and Surabaya, with a total bus fleet of 54 units. Apart from Jakarta, the Pelindo Group also dispatched around 1,000 travelers from several cities, including from Medan to Dumai and Banda Aceh; from Surabaya with the aim of Madiun and Jember; as well as from Makassar with the aim of Palopo and Bulukumba. They departed using 19 buses.
The total participants in the Pelindo Group 2023 free homecoming program reached 3,650 people, using 73 buses. All of these travelers are not only facilitated for their departure, but also facilitated for their return from their hometowns to return to Jakarta, or Medan, Surabaya and Makassar.
One of the travelers, Umiyatun (45 years) admitted that he was very happy to be able to take part in the free homecoming organized by the Pelindo Group. This traveler from Plumpang, North Jakarta, will depart for his hometown in Solo, with three members of his family.
"I am indeed waiting for Pelindo Group's free homecoming moment. This is the fifth time he has participated in the free homecoming program held by the Pelindo Group," he said.
