Kapolri and Ministry of Trasnport Ensure the 1444H/ 2023M Ied Al Fitr via Ship in Tanjung Perak Safe

Surabaya (19/4) - National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo together with Indonesian Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi checked security and homecoming traffic services at the Gapura Surya Nusantara (GSN) Passenger Terminal at Tanjung Perak Port on Wednesday (19/4) or D-3 ahead of Eid . Also present were the Director General of Sea Transportation, Arif Toha and Deputy Governor of East Java, Emil Dardak. The visit was warmly welcomed by Investment Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Boy Robyanto, Director of Strategy of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Prasetyo, CEO of Pelindo Java Sub Regional Johanes Wahyu Hertanto, and General Manager of Kalimas & GSN Dhany Rachmad Agustian.

This check aims to ensure that the flow of homecoming via sea is smooth and travelers are served well. During his visit, the National Police Chief appreciated the officers serving the people who wanted to go home to their hometowns. "Thank you to all of the stakeholder partners who are tasked with providing the best service so that people feel safe & secure at their destination," said Listyo Sigit during an inspection at the location.

In his review, the Minister of Transportation together with the National Police Chief also held a coordination meeting via video conference with a number of officers at transportation nodes, such as Ketapang Port and Gilimanuk Port. "Recently we carried out a review as well as interactive dialogue with our colleagues who carried out their duties at the Port of Tanjung Perak then at Ketapang, Gilimanuk and Padang Bai," said General Sigit.
