D-2 Eid, 768 thousand travelers pass through Pelindo Port

Jakarta, 20 April 2023 - Ahead of D-2 Eid, cumulatively, more than 768 thousand people have passed through 63 passenger terminals managed by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo. There was an increase of 28 percent compared to last year with the same period of 598 thousand travelers.

"The highest number of travelers monitored since D-15 Eid occurred on Wednesday, April 18, 2023 (D-4) as many as 86,686 people passed through Pelindo Port," said Corporate Secretariat Group Head Ali Mulyono.

In detail, Ali added, the number of movements of travelers via sea transportation through the five passenger terminals with the most traffic, namely through the Tanjung Perak Passenger Terminal with 83,741 people, followed by Tanjung Pinang 78,678 people, then Tanjung Balai Karimun 46,065 people, then Makassar 45,887 people, and Balikpapan 36,472 people.

The number of vehicle flows was also recorded as many as 95,456 units had passed through the RORO Terminal which is managed by Pelindo. The average is dominated by RORO Terminals in the Port of Banten with 36,407 units, Tanjung Perak with 14,513 units, Sheet with 7,881 units, and Balikpapan with 6,152 units. During the fifteen days of monitoring, the number of vehicle movements has continued to increase to date.

"We have prepared the 2023 Integrated Eid Transport Post together with all port agency stakeholders that operate 24 hours a day. If travelers have complaints or want to get various information, especially related to the arrival and departure of ships, they can directly visit the post," said Ali.
