Realizing Greenport, Pelindo Invites Employees to Implement Eco-Lifestyle

Jakarta, June 26 2023, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) (Pelindo) through Mutiara Pelindo, which also collaborates with PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, is holding an Eco-Lifestyle BERLABUH (Discussion with Pelabuhan Indonesia) Webinar with the theme of building an environmentally friendly lifestyle. This activity was carried out in line with Pelindo's plan to implement the Greenport concept while at the same time commemorating World Environment Day 2023.

This event was attended by the Director of Human Resources and General Affairs of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), Ihsanuddin Usman, and General Chairperson of Mutiara Pelindo, Dothy, and was attended by more than 1,000 (one thousand) Pelindo personnel in a hybrid manner which was held based at the Jakarta Maritime Museum.

“Pelindo continues to carry out transformation steps, one of which is the Greenport Implementation carried out by Pelindo personnel, meaning that everything must start from oneself. For this reason, this activity was carried out so that Pelindo personnel can reflect on themselves about how to implement an environmentally friendly lifestyle in their daily lives,'' said Ihsanuddin Usman.

Pelindo invited Hamish Daud, Founder of Octopus and Indonesian Ocean Pride, as a resource person to inspire Pelindo staff in implementing an eco-lifestyle.

“An eco-friendly lifestyle starts from oneself. Hopefully Pelindo personnel can be inspired by Hamish Daud as the resource person, because this environmentally friendly lifestyle is in line with the company's values, namely Loyalty and Harmony. In this case it is a form of loyalty to the environment and harmony with the environment. It's best to start with simple things like saving energy, using plastic wisely and using a tumbler,” added Ihsanuddin Usman.
