West Nusa Tenggara, 03 July 2023 - Pelindo Regional 3 Sheet has successfully delivered 28,153 sacrificial cows from NTB throughout Indonesia. Pelindo ensures that the distribution of sacrificial animals runs smoothly and efficiently from preparing a Special Waiting Room (RTK) for animals and coordinating with shipping parties to ensure delivery schedules. General Manager of Pelindo Pelindo Regional 3 Sheet, Wahyu Agung Prihartanto said districts in NTB such as Sumbawa, Dompu, Bima are producing areas of quality cattle every year which send their cows to various regions in Indonesia.
Based on the Sumbawa Besar SKP IQFAS data from January to June 2023, it was recorded that there were 28,153 cattle sent from NTB through the Lembar Port. This condition has forced the Sheet Port to prepare a special strategy to ensure smooth delivery services, one of which is by setting up a special waiting room for animals. Sheet Harbor Management cooperates with the local Animal Quarantine to monitor the health condition of the cattle. "Before entering the ship, the cattle are first transported by truck for more than 10 hours from the area of origin, so we provide RTK Animals to rest the cattle before being transported by ship," Wahyu explained.
Wahyu added that the government's maritime highway program and the shipping line also played a vital role in the successful distribution of the 28,153 head of cattle. These two factors guarantee the certainty of delivery time so that the cattle can be sent quickly, efficiently and does not interfere with the animal's stamina.
