Nil ACCIDENT, SPJM ACHIEVES GOLD FLAG OF SMK3 CERTIFICATION

MAKASSAR, July 21, 2023 - PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM), Subholding of Pelindo Group, obtained the Golden Flag SMK3 certification with a "Satisfactory" rating in the advanced level category of 166 criteria with an achievement result of 92.16% and there have been no accidents at the SPJM since it was inaugurated on October 1, 2021 until now.

This flag was handed over by the Head of Commercial Branch of BKI Makassar Irwan and received directly by the Director of Operations and Commercial Faruq Hidayat PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim in Makassar (13/7).

Faruq Hidayat, Operations and Commercial Director of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim, said the application of SMK3 at SPJM is a form of Pelindo Group's commitment to increase the effectiveness of occupational safety and health protection.

This achievement is inseparable from PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim's management commitment in implementing HSSE with zero fatality, zero accident and zero damage targets.

"PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim makes safety first its core, because of that we believe it can increase productivity so that it has a direct impact on the benefits for our service users," said Faruq.

"By implementing safety and security practices in service, management, both in the office and in operational areas that really need safety awareness, everyone's safety can be maintained," continued Faruq.

The Head of the BKI Makassar Commercial Branch appreciated SPJM for obtaining satisfactory results.

"From the SMK3 audit that we carried out by taking into account 166 criteria, the SPJM obtained a score of 92.12% or was satisfactory. We hope that this achievement will not make PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim quickly complacent, but on the contrary so that it will further improve the results of the current achievements, "said Irwan.

The SMK3 flag consists of 2 types, gold and silver, which are a form of appreciation (besides certificates) to companies that have implemented the Safety and Health Management System (SMK3). This is regulated in Government Regulation Number 50 of 2012 to determine whether or not a company passes the SMK3 audit.

SMK3 itself is part of the overall company management system in order to control risks related to work activities in order to create a safe, efficient and productive workplace (PP No. 50 of 2012). Occupational Safety and Health (K3) are all activities to guarantee and protect the safety and health of workers through efforts to prevent work accidents and work-related diseases, which are planned, measurable, structured and integrated.
