Pelindo Transformation: Digitalization of Business Processes Makes Jayapura TPK Illegal-Free

Jayapura (18/08) - The transformation of the container terminal to a better direction continues to be carried out by PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (SPTP). Not only touching the human resources aspect, the transformation also touches the operational aspects of the container terminal through systemization and digitization of business processes. As a result, the process of container terminal activities ranging from receiving (receiving containers from outside the terminal into the terminal area), stevedoring (loading and unloading containers at the dock), to delivery (shipping containers from inside the terminal to outside the terminal) are all monitored in one internet-based application.

After the merger of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) on October 1, 2021, the company's operating area stretches from the western to eastern tip of Indonesia. In the eastern region, there is the Jayapura Container Terminal (TPK) operated by PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas. The terminal has been polished by SPTP through a series of transformations including digitalization. One of them is the use of an application called Integrated Billing System (IBS) for company service users.

The use of IBS is said to make it easier for service users to access TPK Jayapura services. PT Serakoy Raya, an expedition company in Jayapura, through company representative Ernest Montolalu said the existence of IBS was able to eliminate extortion at TPK Jayapura.
