Ombudsman and TII Protect the Port through Corruption Prevention

Jakarta, August 19, 2023 - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) cooperates with two institutions to increase transparency and strengthen the implementation of anti-corruption policies within the company. The cooperation was carried out between Pelindo and Ombudsman RI through the signing of a memorandum of understanding, and between Pelindo and Transparency International Indonesia (TII) through the signing of a cooperation agreement (PKS). 

The two collaborations have the fundamental objective of increasing the level of integrity, transparency, and sound business practices throughout the port area, as well as demonstrating the strong commitment of the parties in strengthening integrity values and increasing transparency in operations throughout the port environment. 

The Chairman of the Ombudsman RI, Mokhammad Najih, said that to prevent corruption there are several things that need to be addressed. 

"One of the challenges in efforts to prevent corruption is the obstacle of governance management, so it needs to be the focus of attention. How to fulfill the standards in the form of Governance in public administration that is measurable and built in an integrated manner," said Najih.
