Four Pelindo Strategic Projects Draw Global Investors' Attention at AIPF 2023

Jakarta, 06 September 2023 - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Erick Thohir supports PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo's move to open cooperation opportunities to global partners by presenting four strategic projects at the 2023 ASEAN-Indo Pacific Forum (AIPF) flagship event at Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta. Erick said that the four projects, which include New Priok Terminal, Kijing Port, Makassar New Port, and Bali Maritime Tourism Hub (BMTH), are very important projects in reducing logistics costs and Indonesia's tourism connectivity.  

"Of course we fully support Pelindo's efforts in finding strategic partners who are willing to invest and strengthen Indonesia's logistics and tourism ecosystem," Erick said in Jakarta, Wednesday (6/9/2023). 

Erick said that port infrastructure development is vital, not only for Indonesia, but also for countries in Southeast Asia. By increasing port capacity, Erick said that Indonesia can contribute more to maintaining regional supply chain stability. This is in line with the government's vision in developing the maritime sector and strengthening Indonesia's role as a pillar of the epicenter of economic growth in ASEAN. 

"SOEs, including Pelindo, are certainly committed to being a beacon of economic growth and are also ready to collaborate with ASEAN in building strategic partnerships," Erick said.
