Pelindo continues to move forward, not only as a gateway traffic, but also a traffic creator. Cutting logistics costs, driving economic growth.
Jakarta, November 6, 2023 - After the merger on October 1, 2021, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) / Pelindo continues to develop ports that are integrated with industrial estates (hinterland). This development is carried out through the construction of ports that are directly connected to industrial estates or by creating a well-connected ecosystem through the construction of toll road infrastructure and providing multimodal alternatives such as railways, to facilitate the flow of goods from ports to industrial estates and vice versa.
"Ports have a strategic role in the national logistics service chain. Most ports in Indonesia are gateways, meaning that ports are highly dependent on demand from industry, so Pelindo not only plays a passive role but also proactively acts as a traffic creator. With this collaboration, ports can become centers of economic activity that support national economic growth," said PT Pelindo (Persero) President Director Arif Suhartono, Monday, November 6, 2023.
To achieve this goal, Pelindo has collaborated with a number of parties. For example, cooperating with AKR Corporindo Tbk. in the Gresik Special Economic Zone (KEK), Java Integrated Industrial and Port Estate (JIIPE) in Manyar, Gresik Regency, East Java.
