Jakarta, December 6, 2023 - Ahead of the homecoming flow of Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024 (Nataru 2023/2024), PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo is ready to provide services for passengers at 63 passenger and roro terminals. The terminals are spread throughout Indonesia, with 11 terminals available in Regional 1, 9 terminals available in Regional 2, 21 terminals available in Regional 3, and 22 terminals available in Regional 4.
Pelindo's President Director, Arif Suhartono, during the Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission VI of the House of Representatives on December 4, 2023 explained that in 2022, Pelindo served more than 1.6 million passengers who used sea transportation modes for Nataru homecoming. This number is predicted to surge to 1.9 million passengers this year. Facing this, Pelindo is committed to ensuring the readiness of passenger terminal facilities and infrastructure in supporting the smooth flow of Nataru 2023/2024 homecoming.
In anticipating the predicted increase in the number of passengers, Pelindo has prepared facilities, added internal operational officers and security from the TNI / Polri, increased inspection of passenger luggage and socialization of all service rates at the passenger terminal to the public.
