Jakarta, December 16, 2023 - A total of 306,467 passengers have been served by PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo on H-10 of the homecoming flow for the Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024 (Nataru 2023/2024) holidays. The number of passengers was recorded passing through 63 Pelindo-managed passenger terminals spread throughout Indonesia.
"On H-10, the movement of Nataru homecoming passenger flow has been quite visible with the number reaching 306 thousand passengers. This figure increased by 9.84% compared to the same period the previous year. The passenger terminal with the highest passenger flow is in Tanjung Pinang with 32 thousand passengers, Tanjung Balai Karimun with 29 thousand passengers, Tanjung Perak with 17 thousand passengers, Ambon with 15 thousand passengers, and Makassar with 15 thousand passengers," said Putut Sri Muljanto, Managing Director of Pelindo.
Putut added, to maintain the smooth flow of homecoming, Pelindo actively coordinates with KSOP and Passenger Ship Operators at each port to ensure the ship's arrival schedule is on time, as a form of anticipation of passenger accumulation that exceeds terminal capacity.
