Pelindo Gives 50% Stacking Discount During Eid 2024 Transportation Restrictions

Jakarta, March 30, 2024, As a form of commitment in supporting logistics flows, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo will provide incentives in the form of fee relief, namely discounts of up to 50% on bills for goods and container stacking services during the period of restrictions on the transportation of goods during the Lebaran homecoming and return flows in 2024.

Ardhy Wahyu Basuki, Group Head of Corporate Secretariat, said the fee waiver was given during the period April 5-16, 2024. "The discount applies to inter-island unloading services and services for imports," Ardhy added.

This discount is part of the company's efforts to support government policies. Previously, the Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, conveyed the government's commitment in ensuring logistics supply runs smoothly during the Eid holiday period.

"I have instructed the ranks of the Ministry of Transportation to ensure the smooth distribution of logistics and coordinate with related parties such as Ministries/Institutions and Local Governments so that basic commodities, essential materials and other goods can meet the needs of the community during Ramadan," said the Minister.

Ardhy added that the discount applies at terminals operated by Pelindo. "This discount also applies to container stacking in the extended Container Yard (CY) area and CY line 2 operating in one terminal area as well as the Integrated Physical Examination Point (TPFT) which cannot leave the terminal (delivery) due to restrictions on freight transportation during the back and forth flow of Lebaran transportation in 2024," Ardhy explained.

It was also emphasized that during the Eid holiday period in 2024, terminal operations continued. His party guarantees that ship loading and unloading services, stacking of goods, provision of clean water and other supporting services continue to run 24 hours 7 days.

"Activities inside the terminal remain normal, loading and unloading of goods and containers at the dock continues. We have prepared a supporting area for the stacking field so as not to overload, including engineering the stacking inside the terminal," concluded Ardhy.
