For infrastructure readiness, we have prepared as in the previous year, from ticket counters and various other facilities, one of which is the buffer zone.

"The buffer zone covering an area of 1.3 hectares can accommodate as many as 2,200 motorcycles, and for four-wheeled vehicles that can be accommodated at that location as many as 350 vehicles. This year, the 1.3-hectare buffer zone will be added to an area of 6,000 square meters, which can accommodate 900 motorcycles. This buffer zone serves not only to break up vehicle queues but also provides more benefits, especially for travelers so that they can rest longer and can also cut travel time up to 1 hour from Bandar Lampung City. To increase the comfort of return travelers, separate male and female toilets, lactation rooms and medical rooms equipped with air conditioning, two-wheeled vehicle waiting tents equipped with cooling fans, children's playgrounds, and music entertainment venues are also provided," added Imam.

In addition, his party also anticipated the addition of officers, goods and passenger service activities to minimize the activities of goods and passengers simultaneously.

Head of Public Relations of Lampung Police, Kombes Pol Umi Fadilah Astutik said, travelers are asked to prepare themselves well, starting from the readiness of physical conditions to the vehicles used in the trip. In addition, travelers can avoid the peak dates of the return flow by traveling earlier, especially those who will return from Sumatra to Java.

"We urge travelers who choose sea transportation as an option for going home, for the sake of mutual convenience, to come to the passenger terminal not close to the departure time. For us, the comfort and safety of travelers is the top priority in this Lebaran 2024 Mudik period. For this reason, we are committed to continuing to provide the best service for travelers so that they can celebrate Eid with their families in the village and return to their place of origin without significant obstacles," concluded Ardhy.
