Medan, May 30, 2024, PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM), which is one of the subholdings of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), successfully carried out deep sea pilotage (DSP), for the ship MT. Delta Euridyce, in the Strait of Malacca, Tuesday (5/28).
SPJM's vision as a leader in integrated and world-class maritime services by becoming a Service and Operational Provider, continues to be realized by consistently improving service quality to all stakeholders. Safety and environment aspects are the main things that become the foundation of services provided by SPJM in all its business streams.
Recently, SPJM received a guiding service request for the MT. Delta Euridyce in Malacca waters, with a route from Berhala to Nipah STS (Ship to Ship) area. This 81,293 ton ship with a draft of 15.6 meters was served safely and successfully by 2 deep sea guides who are employees of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero).
Ship guiding is very important to maintain ship safety and smooth traffic and shipping effectiveness.
Director of Strategy and Commercial of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim, Yossianis Marciano, expressed his appreciation to all parties, especially to the stewards who have successfully and safely performed their duties for this DSP.
“On behalf of the Company, I give my highest appreciation to our stewards for their success in carrying out their duties safely,” said Yossianis.
The two stewards on duty for this DSP are Capt. Assyaif Al Adilin and Capt.Rustam Effendi.He also expressed his joy and appreciation to the MT.Eurydice who has entrusted its services to be handled by SPJM.
“We are very happy and appreciate the MT. Eurydice who has entrusted us, to carry out this service,” he continued.As is known MT. Eurydice is a fairly large ship measuring 274.22 meters in length (Length Overall) and 48 meters in width.
The Master of MT. Delta Eurydice received this DSP with satisfaction. “We mark this service as a satisfactory service from Pelindo for our ship transiting from Berhala to the STS Nipah area, it has run smoothly without any problems.”
