Makassar, 26 July 2024 - Subholding Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM), part of the Pelindo Group, posted an increase in ship guiding and delaying performance in the first semester period or until June 2024.
This was achieved by SPJM's subsidiary, PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk. which received services in its delegated areas in Cirebon, Palembang, and Patimban. In addition, this growth was achieved by SPJM Group as it continues to strengthen its services through standardisation of business processes and services at the port.
Guiding until June 2024 was achieved by 10% compared to the previous year. In 2023, there were 7,345 movements while in 2024 there were 8,098 movements.
PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim Corporate Secretary Tubagus Patrick said, ‘When compared YoY, there is an increase in guiding performance by 10 per cent compared to the same period last year.’
As for delays, it grew 4.46 per cent higher than the previous year. In 2024 it was 98,320,018 GT-Hour while in 2023 it was 94,122,786 GT-Hour.
PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim Corporate Secretary Tubagus Patrick said, ‘On a YoY basis, the delay in 2024 grew 4.46% more than in 2023.’
Patrick reiterated that Pelindo Jasa Maritim is one of four Pelindo subholdings that has a vision as a leader in integrated and world-class maritime services. So in addition to providing services in the marine sector, SPJM also provides port equipment services, docking services, dredging solutions, and other port utilities services.
The achievement of guiding and delaying services is the largest contributor to the Company's revenue and profit from the various services served by SPJM.
‘To support port services, in addition to marine services, we are also a provider of supporting services including port equipment and utility services, all of which are expected to maintain port performance in Indonesia,’ Patrick continued.
As of June 2024, gas distribution increased by 1.57% YoY, reaching 6,262,761 MMBTU. This exceeds the 2023 achievement of 6,156,683 MMBTU. Gas distribution services are provided by SPJM's great-grandson, PT Lamong Nusantara Gas, which is a joint venture of Pelindo Energi Logistik (PEL) and PT PGN LNG. PEL itself is a subsidiary of PT Pelindo Marine Service.
For electricity performance, SPJM Group penetrated 100,692,956 KWH, up 16.89% from last year. In the same period last year, 86,142,684 KWH was realised. Electricity services are provided by two SPJM subsidiaries, namely PT Energi Pelabuhan Indonesia (EPI) and PT Lamong Energi Indonesia (LEGI).
Equipment performance also showed positive performance. Availability or readiness of equipment increased by 0.22 per cent compared to the same period last year.
These achievements also demonstrate the effectiveness of centralised and standardised operational management at each port, including the support of the latest Phinnisi technology, which is an end-to-end ship service operating system platform, which is one of the pillars in realising the goals of the National Logistic Ecosystem (NLE), has successfully made a significant impact on the shipping and logistics industry, significant cost and service time efficiencies.
By continuing to maintain equipment availlability, the port can play a full role in reducing port stay (the length of time waiting for ships at the port) and cargo stay (the length of time that cargo takes when at the port). These two things greatly contribute to the performance of national logistics, which of course also has an impact on the nation's economic growth.
