Improving Cooperation, Pelindo Regional 4 Signs MoU with 3 AGOs
MAKASSAR, 15 November 2024 - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 4 together with the Papua High Prosecutor's Office, West Papua High Prosecutor's Office, and North Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at increasing cooperation between the two parties.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which took place in Jakarta on Thursday (14 November 2024), was carried out by Pelindo Regional 4 Executive Director Abdul Azis together with Papua High Prosecutor Hendrizal Husin, West Papua High Prosecutor Muhammad Syarifuddin, and North Kalimantan High Prosecutor Amiek Mulandari.
Through the signing of the Joint Agreement, Pelindo Regional 4 and the High Prosecutors of Papua, West Papua, and North Kalimantan agreed to cooperate in Handling Legal Issues in the Civil and State Administration Sector.
Pelindo Regional 4 Executive Director Abdul Azis said that the signing of this MoU is a form of synergy between the Company and the Attorney General's Office. ‘We hope that with this cooperation, Pelindo can focus more on carrying out its main tasks in port management and logistics, and provide the best service for the community,’ he said.
Papua High Prosecutor Hendrizal Husin said that this cooperation will also strengthen the synergy between the Prosecutor's Office and Pelindo in supporting economic development in Eastern Indonesia, especially those related to the maritime and logistics sectors.
‘We will play an active role in ensuring that all Pelindo activities run with high integrity,’ he said.
Head of the West Papua High Prosecutor's Office Muhammad Syarifuddin also said that the signing of this MoU is proof of a joint commitment to accelerate the development of port infrastructure which is the backbone of the regional economy.
With the support of the local High Prosecutor's Office, it is hoped that all developments carried out by Pelindo in the Papua, West Papua and North Kalimantan regions can run more transparently and efficiently.
Meanwhile, Head of the North Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office Amiek Mulandari stated that his party strongly supports this MoU as a concrete step in strengthening law enforcement and preventing criminal acts in the maritime sector, which is expected to have a positive impact on society and the country.
With the signing of this MoU, Pelindo Regional 4, the Papua High Prosecutor's Office, the West Papua High Prosecutor's Office, and the North Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office are committed to continuing to improve more solid and synergistic cooperation in order to realise sustainable, safe and transparent development in Eastern Indonesia.
