The Minister of State-Owned Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia inspected directly readiness for free motorbike homecoming facilities at the Nusantara Passenger Terminal at Tanjung Priok Port, using the KM Dobonsolo ship with the destination Semarang -Surabaya. A total of more than 500 passengers with more than 240 motorcycle units departed through this free homecoming facility.
After reviewing the passenger terminal facilities, the Minister of BUMN of the Republic of Indonesia also greeted the ship's passengers and discussed together regarding this year's Eid homecoming. It was followed by releasing the departure of KM Dobonsolo and the passengers from the Nusantara Pura Passenger Terminal at Tanjung Priok Harbor according to the schedule during the day.
"The Free Motorcycle Homecoming Program is a form of Government support in supporting the smooth flow of homecoming in 2022, with the free motorbike homecoming through sea transportation, of course, it is hoped that it can reduce land traffic density, this is a form of concern for BUMN in providing facilities for Lebaran homecoming. to the public," said the Minister of BUMN, Erick Thohir.
Earlier in the morning, the Minister of LHK RI monitored the Minimized Waste Homecoming Program for 2022, on this occasion an explanation of the waste handling process was carried out which was not only limited to collecting garbage in terminals and office areas, but also included cleaning pools, the mainland area of Tanjung Priok Port. to transporting waste residue to the TPA for sorting by the Waste Bank. All waste handling processes are carried out to create a clean and comfortable environment for travelers through sea transportation at the Nusantara Passenger Terminal, Pura Tanjung Priok Port.
Minister of LHK RI Siti Nurbaya conveyed "I appreciate Tanjung Priok Port for all the efforts made in preparing excellent thematic and segregated waste bin facilities, the availability and feasibility of facilities to support Homecoming with Minim Waste is expected to strengthen public participation and the active role of business actors in efforts reduction of commuting waste,".
