Support the Smooth Flow of Homecoming Pelindo Adds Ferry Services

Jakarta, 30 April 2022 - To support the smooth flow of homecoming, Pelindo opened the Ciwandan Port and Indah Kiat Port in Cilegon, Banten and Panjang Port in Lampung to be able to serve additional ferry routes. This is done as a response to the high traffic flow of vehicles through the Merak - Bakauheni ferry port and is expected to help reduce queue density on this route. The first route served is the Panjang Port - Indah Kiat Harbor using the Mutiara Ferindo VII Ship and Mutiara Berkah 1 Ship owned by PT Atosim Lampung Pelayaran. Since it was first opened on Wednesday, 27 April 2022 to Saturday, 30 April 2022, it has served more than 1.100 vehicles. It is projected that more than 2.000 vehicles will be served until the D-Day of Eid al-Fitr.

In addition, the Minister of Transportation has initiated the opening of Ciwandan Port for ferry services starting Saturday, 30 April  2022, with the Ciwandan Port - Bakauheni Port route served by KMP Titian Nusantara and KMP Panorama Nusantara ships. As of the release of this news, the first KM Titian Nusantara cruise departed at 14.25 WIB 30 April , 2022, carrying 164 vehicles. Not only the addition of new routes, all port fees ranging from Guidance, Delay, Mooring and vehicle loading and unloading services are waived. Thus, of course, the benefits and impacts can be felt optimally by shipping companies and the community. It is planned that additional routes from the three ports for crossing ships will be carried out until 9 May 2022, or adjust to conditions on the ground.
